The Dorco Classic

The Dorco Classic is sold in US also in different color scheme for under $10, prices via ebay or amazon will double or triple plus shipping. So if someone is  willing to send the razor to germany for a fair rate- mail me. I really like the color scheme.

The european version is not for sale at the german amazon websites anymore, only via amazon.co.uk

The Dorco Classic and the Pace3+ could be ordered via amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.es, and amazon.co.uk
It comes with the seven-blade cartridge. The cartridges can be ordered separately at amazon at the same page. So you can get the Dorco 7 blades in Europe outside of ebay. Price ist around € 10,- for 4 cartridges

One of the unnerving things has been to get a special edition or handle from korea or elsewhere out of Germany

i.e. the Dorco Pace Classic shaving set
There is a set of a nice designed handle together with shaving brush, stand and bowl
price was around 99.000 Won on gmarket which is around 90$ adding 20$ EMS shipping (the only possible shipping method for international shipping at gmarket) and 19% taxes in Germany a total of 130$ just for the set. Driving the 40 miles to customs office not included

The set is out of stock now (for international shipping,, local shipping still available)

To much just for a handle if you own the rest of the parts from the set.

So I was really happy when I found the handle on the Dorco UK site
unfortunally they are not allowed to ship to Germany.

The funny thing - the original Dorco razor is also listed at amazon.de but without any stock
the more funny thing - the same razor is sold there as Shave It Grand -
which is a branded handle of the Dorco Clasic

The handle is really nice, classic slim design, have not testet with soapy fingers
Heavy weighted with a metal core

the handle changes to polygonal from middle to the bottom of the handle (for better control?)
The rest of the handle and the lower cone is without any edges really smooth rounded

It comes with the 6.1 Dorco Blades and is compatible to alle the other cartridges from Pace3 to Pace7

Unfortunally the 7 bladed cartridges are still not available in Europe outside from ebay or amazon.com

The Dorco Pace 5 pro

While visiting some razor forums in one post linked to an amazon offer I thought "I know that docking system but never seen that handle" but was also irritated about the 5-blade cartridge

No that can`t be real
then saw the second part of the razor family in similar offers of amazon and thought that should be the Dorco Classic only branded.

There are 2, 3, 4, 6, 6.1, or 7 blades but never ever 5 blades at a Dorco cartridge.

So what is new?

First the five blades at the cartridge (and one trimmer blade)

second the new handle - nice slim design with "sand wave" design called rubber for better grip - really handy

third the rounded skin protection band  with argan oil and calendula extract

fourth the "comb" on the back head of the cartridge - don`t know what that improvement is made for
did an inquiry at dorco and awaiting the answer but I think it is made for protecting the skin of cuts with the single trimmer blade

finally fifth the new designed cartridge.

What about 5 blades?

Yeah, we know the Pace3, Pace4, Pace6, Pace6.1 and the Pace7 but  missed a Pace5

So have a first look at the new Dorco Pace5 on the korean HQ Site

As I mentioned in an earlier post the effort to do new posts is to high and even the costs for importing the razors

The situation has changed with that razor 😎
